Where do we stand?

I do not get why we’re fighting for black lives, or why we’re still asking for equality, why we’re demanding for world peace or trying to end world poverty.

I do not understand how all of the above are still unattained rights that we have to die for every day in order to obtain.

I do not get why we humans have no humanity yet we still consider ourselves living in a civilized reality.

If we do not see that this world we live in today is not so different from the one that was there at the beginning of times, if we do not admit to ourselves that humans, apart from how they look and communicate, have not evolved that much during these past centuries, then boy do we have a big problem.

We are primitive beings hiding in fancy clothes, behind fancy words, acting in a sophisticated manner, while the reality is, what’s hidden inside our bodies are nothing but rotten souls filled with hatred, greed and, viciousness.

Why?

Why is it so hard to be kind? Why is it so hard to be HUMAN? What’s so complicated about that? I just don’t understand.

While some of us are out here trying to make the world a better place -as hard of a task as it is- others have decided to make it their sole mission to prevent us from doing so.

Countries are on the verge of disappearance, populations are dying, nature is deteriorating and humanity is at stake yet our greedy, inhumane, and selfish leaders are only after one thing: power. And so we sink into this dark hole of being subject to indifferent leaders who are willing to sacrifice anything and everything (and everyone) in order to be king.

What can we do? Well easy.

“Be Kind to One Another”

In a world where day-by-day darkness is taking over, in a world where hope is fading away, these five simple words remind us that we are the key to adding more light into this world. As if natural phenomena weren’t enough, as if “some” people’s evilness wasn’t enough, we choose every day to pull each other down.  Every day is a fight; it’s a battle between darkness and light, between good and evil. The result is merely dependant from our individual actions. Every day is a choice. We choose to either do good, or do bad. We choose whether we allow darkness to prevail or light to shine in.
